Pattaya

 Located 147 km from Bangkok about two and a half hours trip, by Bangna / Trat Highway 36 or motorway from Rama 9 Rd. Daily coach service from Bangkok Eastern Bus Terminal.The main sweep of the bay area is divided into two principal beachfronts. Pattaya Beach is parallel to city centre, and runs from Pattaya Nuea south to Walking Street. Along Beach Road are restaurants, shopping areas, and night attractions.
Jomtien Beach in the southern part of the bay area is divided from Pattaya beach by the promontory of Pratamnak Hill. It consists of high-rise condominiums, beachside hotels, bungalow complexes, shops, bars, and restaurants. On weekends, it becomes increasingly crowded, with many Thai visitors coming from Bangkok. It offers of watersport activities such as jet skisparasailing and small sail boat hire. The Pratumnak Hill area is gaining in popularity for its beach as it is a quieter area and it has a lot of new hotel and condominium resorts in development around the area reflecting on growing demand.
 
 

Places to Visit

Phratamnak Hill, or Khao Pattaya

Phratumnak Hill is located at the border of South Pattaya and Jomtien. The top of the hill is one of the best viewpoint overlooking the crescent bay of Pattaya. It is a popular spot amongst the tourists, especially at the sunset and at night when the city is lit up. Wat Khao Phra Bat, the Monument of Kromluang Chomphonkhetudomsak, the founding Father of modern Thai Navy, Phra Phut Sukhothai Cholatan, Buddha image in Subduing Mara gesture and Thai Navy's radio station are also located on the hilltop. At the foot of the hill, there is a public park. TAT office is also located nearby.

Jomtien Beach

The temple is situated approximately 12 km south of Pattaya City. It was built 1976 on the purpose of paying respect Somdet Phra Yanasangwon, the present Supreme Patriarch and is now under the patronage of His Majesty the King. The architecture of the temple is noted for its elegant and modern Thai style within peaceful surroundings.
within the ground, there are a mondop (pavilion with four gables) with a replica of the Buddha's footprints, a large stupa with the relics of the Lord Buddha and his disciples, Phra Yanaret Vihan as well as international pavilions representing the architecture of several countries. Nearby, there is also a Chinese-style building housing antiques and art objects from China. 

Ripleys Believe it or Not Museum

Ripley’s Believe it or Not Museum is a famous museum founded by Robert Ripley from the United States, who managed to collect over 300 mystical, exotic and unusual items from all over the world, divided into 10 individual themes including optical illusion, primitive torture devices including masks made from human skin, humans with 4 eyes, horses with 3 legs, a replica of the Titanic made from a million matchsticks. The museum also features the Motion Master Theatre with flight simulator technology.
